In a southern city at the turn of the millennium, high school boys gather to watch porn and discuss the rumors going around of a girl having had an abortion. Sex education is a forbidden subject, according to both teachers and parents, but this cannot stop the teens from seeking their own idealized “sex lives”. Xiaoxiao is a real extrovert. She is friendly with boys and definitely not shy about showing her curiosity regarding sex. She fancies Zhang Yuan, a university student, and hopes to be his girlfriend so that she can give herself to him after her 18th birthday. Yingzi is Xiaoxiao’s best friend. She is top of her class and a typically well-behaved girl. She lives with her strict mother, after her parents’ divorce, but beneath the quiet surface of her life, she hides a secret of her own. Li Zhuo is another friend of Xiaoxiao, who lost his virginity to a prostitute, Li mei. Although he maintains a relationship with her, it cannot satisfy him. Through sharing the same, yet different, yearning love, the three teenagers become bound together.
