Good News from Former APM Projects!|

Prior to upcoming APM event this year, we’d like to share a few achievements of former APM projects from late 2016 to now.

 

Ember by Zeki Demirkubuz and The Long Excuse by Nishikawa Miwa were invited to Toronto International Film Festival, and Birdshot by Mikhail Red won the Best Asian Future Film Award at Tokyo International Film Festival, as well as invited to Goteborg Film Festival. These three projects have consistently been recognized from numerous worldwide film festivals till early 2017.

 

Good news also extended to other APM projects. My Happy Family by Nana Ekvtimishvili and Simon Gross was invited to Sundance Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival. Mouly Surya’s Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts had its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival Director's Fortnight, and Anup Singh's The Song of Scorpions also had its world premiere at Locarno Festival. Most recently, Pen-ek Ratanaruang's Samui Song, will have its world premiere at the forthcoming Venice International Film Festival.

 

In addition, Lei Lei’s Ningdu and Edwin’s Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash were both invited to the Rotterdam's CINEMART and Lei Lei’s Ningdu and Pham Ngoc Lan’s CU LI NEVER CRIES were also invited to Festival de Cannes Cinefoundation's Atelier.
