Asian Film Market Awards 2016 Announced!

- The 19th Asian Project Market Awards 7 Projects

- E-IP Market Awards 2 Works

 

On October 11th, the last day of Asian Film Market 2016, the winners of the 19th Asian Project Market (APM) and the 2nd Entertainment Intellectual Property (E-IP) Market were announced at the APM & E-IP Awards Ceremony, held at The Westin Chosun Busan.

 

19th Asian Project Market announces 7 winning projects!

Asian Project Market (APM), Asia’s first investment and coproduction market, has completed its 3-day schedule of lively and constructive business meetings between project representatives and potential producers and investors from around the world. Seven out of 27 original high-quality projects of varied genres from 16 different nations were honored with the following awards.

Financed annually by Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan Award went to by Edwin(Indonesia), awarded with $15,000 (USD) cash. The Bright East Films Award, newly installed this year, went to by ZEZE Takahisa(Japan), with a grant of $15,000 (USD) in cash. The CJ Entertainment Award for an international project, financed by CJ Entertainment, was given to Cambodia and France’s by NEANG Kavich, and the LOTTE Award for Korean projects, financed by LOTTE Entertainment, went to by SEO Eunyoung(Korea). The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) Award was given to by KIM Hee-Jung(Korea). The ARTE International Prize granted by ARTE France was awarded to by NEANG Kavich(Cambodia, France), honored with 2 awards at this year’s APM. Lastly, MONEFF Award granted by MONEFF went to by JANG Kunjae(Korea), which offers $30,000 (USD) worth of post-production services and facilities, especially editing and VFX.

 

2nd E-IP Market awards 2 works with a huge potential for film adaptation!

The 2nd E-IP Market introduced a total of 20 works through Book To Film and E-IP Pitching events. The NEW Creator Award supported by Next Entertainment World grants 10 million Korean won to one work each from the Book To Film and E-IP Pitching selections. This year, the NEW Creator Awards go to presented by EunHaeng Namu Publishing Co. from the Book To Film selections, and to presented by All That Story from the E-IP Pitching selections.

CJ E&M commits $10,000 (USD) to an international project. CJ E&M obtains the 'First Look Option' regarding production, investment, sales and distribution of the awarded project.

 

LOTTE Award  Undefined l SEO Eunyoung l Korea

LOTTE ENTERTAINMENT commits 10,000,000 (KRW) to a Korean APM project. LOTTE ENTERTAINMENT obtains the 'First Look Option' regarding production, investment, sales and distribution of the awarded project.

 

KOCCA Award  The French Woman l KIM Hee-Jung l Korea

Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) commits 10,000,000 (KRW) to a project chosen from the official APM line-up.

 

ARTE International Prize  White Building l NEANG Kavich l Cambodia, France

ARTE France commits €6,000 (EUR) to a project chosen from the official APM line-up.

 

MONEFF Award  The Cold-blooded Penguin l JANG Kunjae l Korea

MONEFF commits $30,000 (USD) in post-production service and facilities, especially editing or VFX to a project chosen from the official APM line-up.
